GMAPS eCard

Its been a while since I last posted. Been busy with real work, but I am back again. First up is an eCard designed for my brothers company. This is a simple card that he could forward using Outlook with space to place a special message for the particular client.

Another Lot of Free Stockphoto

With a new camera and new resolve I was able to have 3 more images accepted in stock.xchng. The problem now is to pass this mark. 5 uploads, I have submitted quite a number of other ideas but they have been rejected. Sigh ... have to dig deep down for ideas on this.

It looks like I will be moving back to sketching for a while to clear my head. Then hopefully I can come up with some more ideas to try out with this.

Playing with fractals - Explore

Got a new software to play with, called Apophysis. Its a fractal generator and this is my first piece that is rooted in this software. I can see many more fun projects with this :)

Contributing to sxc.hu

Finally did it, contributed back to sxc.hu. after years of using the site to be source of my Photoshop work I am giving back to the community.

update: I only got 2 of them through (the top two) the bottom two are something that they did not need (subject matter wise). Sigh will try again later. Now have to figure out other photos I can make.

End of the World

This a piece done for urban collective website. Theme driven art, an unusual thing for me, considering I love doing things randomly. Photoshop digital work with stocks from Stock.XCHNG.

Bored today, so tried to make a new caricature of me looking on ....

2 RAWS

These two pieces were done randomly while I was alone in a bar. The place was cool, with nice jazz music, but I was alone and needed to do something. Took out the old pencil and tracing paper and started building stuff, these two stood out ... well in the raw form. I could not let it go and ended up playing with it in photoshop. It looks nice now :)

Color Flow

Permanent Marker + Highlighter, trying the big bulky strokes and mixing colors. Still experimenting. Hope you like it :)

Jags Flow, taking this style and adding my name in it. Seeing were it will take me. Names are cool and maybe will start trying to add symbols icons too. In fact I have a T-Shirt idea some were I am going to work on, wish me luck.

Flow 3

Another one of the flows, this time at A4 size. Still marker for black and highlighter for the orange. Don't know how long this is going to be, but I enjoy making it :)

2nd Flow

2nd Piece, I like it but did it on smaller paper so the strokes feel smaller. More crowded in fact compared to the first one. A5, with Markers and highlighter for color.

Flow 070810

Marker plus color pencil on paper. One of the first piece on paper that I took from beginning to end. My disappointment is that I did not plan anything. Its a good start, in fact I hope to do more :)

One thing to always remember, free does not always means free. The owner/creator is giving you the right to use for some reason. Charity, Glory or they just got bored.
